WhatsApp QR Scan Integration Guide

For hosting providers connecting any standard WhatsApp account via QR scan.

1. Overview & Architecture

The QR Scan integration uses isolated background connector sessions (Evolution API / Baileys). Your WHMCS installation communicates solely with our SaaS REST API over HTTPS, eliminating socket timeouts or web server blockages on shared hosting.

2. Step-by-Step Connection
  1. Log in to your SaaS dashboard and navigate to WhatsApp Connections.
  2. Click Connect WhatsApp. A 60-second dynamic QR code will be generated.
  3. Open WhatsApp on your mobile phone → Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device.
  4. Scan the QR code. The dashboard will automatically update to Connected.
3. WHMCS QR Module Installation
  1. Download hd-whatsapp-notify.zip from the Module Downloads section.
  2. Extract the files into your WHMCS root directory (placing files in modules/addons/hdwhatsapp/).
  3. Go to WHMCS Admin → Setup → Addon Modules, activate HD WhatsApp Notify, enter your API Key and Secret, and save.
  4. Access Addons → HD WhatsApp Notify in WHMCS and send a test message to verify.

Official Meta Cloud API Integration Guide

For web hosts using official Meta WhatsApp Business Accounts (WABA) with zero QR scanning.

1. Prerequisites & Meta Business Portfolio

Before beginning, you need a verified Meta Business Portfolio and an official WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).

  • Access the Meta Business Suite and create or select your business portfolio.
  • Add your corporate business phone number and complete SMS or voice verification.
2. Meta Developer App & Access Token Setup
  1. Go to Meta for Developers and create an app with type Business.
  2. Under Add Products, add WhatsApp.
  3. In Meta Business Suite → Settings → System Users, create a system user and generate a permanent access token with permissions: whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management.
  4. Copy your WhatsApp Business Account ID, Phone Number ID, and permanent Access Token.
3. SaaS Wizard & Webhook Configuration
  1. In your HD WhatsApp Notify dashboard, open the Cloud API Setup Wizard.
  2. Paste your WABA ID, Phone Number ID, and System User Token. Click Validate & Save.
  3. Copy the provided Webhook Callback URL and Verify Token.
  4. In your Meta App Dashboard → WhatsApp → Configuration → Webhook, paste the Callback URL and Verify Token, click Verify and Save, and subscribe to the messages field.
4. Dedicated WHMCS Cloud Module Setup
  1. Download hd-whatsapp-cloud.zip from the Module Downloads center.
  2. Extract it into your WHMCS root directory (places files in modules/addons/hdwhatsapp_cloud/).
  3. Activate HD WhatsApp Cloud API in WHMCS Addon Modules, input your SaaS API Key and Secret, and save.
  4. Test delivery in Addons → HD WhatsApp Cloud API.
